For Faith and her family, that new beginning began in 2025 when they relocated from Florida to the Greater Cincinnati area, opening the door to fresh opportunities and new connections. In mid September 2025, Faith officially began receiving services from Envision, and from the very start, she has made a meaningful impression on everyone who has had the pleasure of getting to know her.
Faith is incredibly bright and expressive, communicating through her own unique version of American Sign Language. Through her signs, gestures, and expressions, she clearly communicates her wants, needs, and preferences, ensuring the people who support her understand how to best meet her needs. Her communication style is a powerful reminder that there are many ways to connect, and that listening goes far beyond words.
One of Faith’s most inspiring qualities is her independence and confidence. She is a natural teacher, often showing staff exactly how she prefers her meals prepared and how her diet textures should be created. With clarity and assurance, Faith guides her support team, demonstrating her knowledge and self advocacy skills, all without the need for supervision. Her ability to lead these moments speaks volumes about her strengths and her determination to be actively involved in her daily life.
Faith also enjoys spending time out in the community, exploring familiar places and discovering new favorites. Shopping trips are among her most enjoyed activities, especially visits to Walmart and the dollar store. Browsing the aisles, examining items, and choosing what catches her interest brings her joy and a sense of connection to the world around her. These community outings are more than just errands, they are opportunities for engagement, independence, and personal fulfillment.
