For over six decades, we have been dedicated to empowering children and adults with developmental disabilities in the Greater Cincinnati region, ensuring that every individual has the tools, support, and opportunities to reach their full potential.
🌟 A Legacy of Vision and Advocacy
Envision’s story began in the 1960s, when a small group of determined parents refused to accept the status quo. At a time when many children with developmental disabilities were sent away to institutional settings, these families dared to imagine a better life for their children — one filled with connection, learning, and love.
With courage, creativity, and sheer determination, they opened one of Cincinnati’s first residential schools for children with developmental disabilities. They organized bake sales, thrift shops, and community fundraisers to make their dream a reality. Their commitment to inclusion and individualized care laid the foundation for what Envision is today: a thriving organization serving nearly 700 children and adults each year.

Envision provides a comprehensive range of programs that address the unique needs of each individual while fostering independence, confidence, and personal growth.
Residential Programs & Group Homes
Our residential programs provide safe, supportive environments where individuals can live, learn, and grow. Residents benefit from personalized care plans, skill-building activities, and opportunities to engage meaningfully with peers and staff.
Adult Day & Community Programs
Day programs offer structured skill-building, recreational activities, and social engagement for adults with developmental disabilities. Through these programs, individuals develop independence, build self-confidence, and participate fully in the community.
Foster Care & Family Support
Children and adults in need of specialized care are placed in foster homes tailored to their unique abilities. Families and caregivers also receive support, guidance, and respite services to help them provide the best care possible while maintaining their own wellbeing.
Mental Health & Behavioral Support
Our staff are trained to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to address behavioral challenges, communication difficulties, and co-occurring mental health concerns. Every individual is approached with a strengths-based perspective, ensuring that challenges are addressed without overlooking their unique abilities and gifts.
CITE Services (Skill Building & Behavioral Interventions for Children)
Our CITE program supports children through skill-building, behavioral interventions, and individualized coaching. These services empower children to develop life skills, strengthen social and emotional abilities, and gain confidence in their daily lives, all while partnering closely with families to reinforce growth at home.
