Known for his naturally cool personality and engaging presence, Josh carries himself with confidence that reflects the strong bond he shares with those who support him.
One of Josh’s greatest passions is professional wrestling. This interest brings him immense joy and serves as an important way for him to connect with others who share his enthusiasm. Over the past four years, Allen has gone above and beyond to nurture this passion, surprising Josh with opportunities to attend multiple wrestling events both locally and out of state. Most recently, the two traveled to Chicago for a live wrestling event—an experience that added yet another unforgettable memory to their growing collection of shared adventures.
Through these experiences, Josh has developed a strong, trusting relationship with Allen—one built on encouragement, mutual respect, and genuine care. Each trip and new experience has helped Josh expand his independence, strengthen his self-confidence, and embrace new opportunities to explore the world around him. And the journey is far from over. With plans already underway for an exciting international trip, Josh is eagerly looking ahead to his next big adventure.
With the continued support of Envision’s Family Living program, Josh is thriving as he works toward personal goals and enjoys life to the fullest. During Josh’s stay with the Carter family through the Family Living Program, he has continued to flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment. He has strengthened his social skills and built meaningful connections within the household, fully embracing his role as a valued member of the family. Josh actively participates in shared activities—serving as a mascot at Allen’s son’s school, helping care for the family’s new puppy, and contributing to daily life in ways that reflect his growing confidence and sense of belonging.
In a fun and fitting tribute to Josh’s love for wrestling, the new puppy was named John Cena—an unmistakable nod to his passion and personality. Allen often shares how naturally Josh fits into the family, noting their shared interests in sports and gaming, which have helped foster strong bonds and plenty of laughter.
