Staff Spotlight: Angie Knott and Shavonne Wheeler

At Envision, high quality care begins with dedicated professionals who bring both expertise and heart to their work. Our nursing team plays a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well being of the individuals we serve, and we are proud to shine a spotlight on two exceptional members of that team, Angie Knott and Shavonne Wheeler.

Angie Knott, RN and Delegating Nurse

Angie Knott serves as Envision’s Registered Nurse and delegating nurse, and her experience and leadership have made a meaningful difference across the organization. Angie brings many years of experience in the disability field, including her previous role as Director at the Epilepsy Alliance. After retiring from that position in early 2023, she joined Envision, and we have been stronger ever since.

Since coming on board, Angie has significantly enhanced the quality of nursing and medical oversight within the agency. She is a passionate advocate for the individuals we support, helping strengthen processes, ensure consistent follow up, and navigate even the most medically complex situations with skill, patience, and compassion.

Angie also serves as Envision’s on call champion, providing critical support to supervisors and staff as they troubleshoot emergent medical concerns. As the individuals we support age and their needs evolve, Angie leads efforts to secure appropriate equipment, medical resources, and specialized supports. Her advocacy ensures that individuals can continue to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity, while staff feel confident and supported in their roles.

Shavonne Wheeler, LPN

Shavonne Wheeler joined Envision in late 2025 as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and her impact has been felt almost immediately. With a strong background in nursing across a variety of settings, Shavonne transitioned seamlessly into the disability services field, quickly becoming a trusted and valued member of the team.

In her role, Shavonne regularly visits service locations to provide direct nursing oversight for the individuals we support, especially when RN Angie Knott cannot be in multiple places at once. She ensures individuals are seen, supported, and receiving the care they need, serving as an experienced and knowledgeable presence in the field.

Shavonne is also a strong advocate for individuals supported by Envision and consistently offers thoughtful insights to improve outcomes and strengthen care practices. She plays a key role in coaching staff on proper medication administration, reinforcing best practices, and ensuring compliance with Medication Administration training. Her dedication supports both individual health outcomes and overall program quality.

Why Nursing Support Matters

Together, Angie and Shavonne exemplify the values at the heart of Envision, compassion, advocacy, collaboration, and excellence in care. Their leadership and commitment help ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities receive safe, responsive, and person centered medical support every day.
